120-day permit
The 120-day permit can be applied for EU/EFTA as well as third-country nationals and allows multiple entries and exits to Switzerland. This type of permit is preferably used for project assignments, for example.
The 120-day permit is a work permit that must be applied for at the competent authority. If the application is granted, the employee can spend 120 days in Switzerland during one year. However, this is only valid after deduction of the days already taken in the registration procedure. With a 120-day permit, multiple entry and exit to Switzerland is possible. This permit can only be issued if the admission requirements according to the Foreign Nationals and Integration Act (FNIA) are cumulatively fulfilled. In general, such a permit can be applied for EU/EFTA nationals but also for third-country nationals.
